"It’s a scary feeling when you can’t breathe.”

“My mom took me with her to TOPS after I had trouble breathing during football practice. Also, it was hard to breathe when I climbed stairs. My doctor gave me an inhaler to use, and that really scared me. It’s a scary feeling when you can’t breathe. It has not been easy for me to lose weight because our school lunches are about twice the size of a proper portion. Having a skinny twin sister is no help either. I’ve lost weight slowly. I plan on hanging in there so I can play football this fall without the help of an inhaler. I thank my chapter, Leader Oretha Marcum, Area Captain Sharon Board, and my mom-maw, who constantly encourages me.”
