“I’ve been “the big kid” my whole life – just cute enough that people wanted to pinch my chubby cheeks, until I reached my teens. Then there were hurtful remarks, or the other kids just left me out. Our family friend, Linda, told us about TOPS. My mother and sister attended a meeting and were excited. I joined the following week, and I’m currently down 64.5 pounds—only 13 pounds from goal. It hasn’t been easy, but I know now, with my chapter behind me, IT IS POSSIBLE! My friends and teachers are amazed at my transformation. My self-confidence is through the roof. Also, I’m really loving all the extra attention I’m getting from the girls. See you next year as a KOPS! ”
