“My weight-loss journey began after my doctor recommended that I lose weight due to medical issues. I have lymphedema and, at that time, I had an ulcer in my leg. I joined TOPS in July 2008. Little did I know what lay ahead on my new path in life. I made many new friends who provide much needed support and encouragement to keep me motivated. I earned this International Division Winner recognition for losing 66.75 pounds, but I’ve lost even more: a total of 88.5 pounds so far. I’ve won numerous awards and charms for my weight losses, my ulcer has healed, and I’m feeling much healthier. Currently I’m serving as our chapter’s Secretary. Thanks to my family, friends and TOPS.”
