Among the most inspiring, uplifting experiences for TOPS members is attending the annual International Recognition Days celebration, known simply as IRD. Each year, this three-day convention moves to a different city in North America so that as many members as possible may attend. Nonmembers are also welcome to attend IRD and see what being part of the TOPS family is all about.
The next event will take place in San Diego, CA July 5-7, 2012. Keep watching this website for important updates concerning you and IRD.

Highlights of IRD include crowning the International King and Queen and runners up, the KOPS Circle of Light that recognizes members who have maintained their weight loss—some for 50 years or more, and lively educational sessions as well as opportunities to make friends and meet people from all over the United States and Canada. TOPS keeps the registration fee low, and many chapters do fundraising during the year to defray costs. Housing and registration forms for IRD are available each year in the December/January issue of the TOPS News member magazine.
Regional events leading up to IRD are held at the state and provincial level each spring.
