Success Stories

TOPS members win by losing!
A little healthy competition usually
provides extra motivation for our members—all sorts of
friendly contests are offered on a chapter, local,
regional, and international level at TOPS. Everyone in
TOPS can be part of this lively, motivating competition
and receive recognition for their efforts. When you lose
weight in TOPS, you’ll receive many awards in addition
to your personal feelings of accomplishment, improved
health, and changed appearance. From “Best Loser of the
Week” to “International King or Queen,” we’ll help you
learn to set and achieve sensible, sustainable goals.
2010 International Royalty
Royalty are the men and women who, at the end of the
year, have officially recorded the largest weight loss
from their original, starting weight at TOPS, regardless
of the time taken to reach their goal. Esther Manz, our
founder, felt that anyone who achieved their goal of
losing weight should be “treated like royalty,” thus the
tradition began. Though purely symbolic, this honor
means a lot to those who achieve this rank at chapter,
state, or province level. Each year, the best of the
best are crowned the TOPS International King and Queen.

2010 International
Division Winners
Male and female TOPS members compete
within divisions based on age and weight
lost during the calendar year at
chapter, as well as by state or
province. The greatest overall losses
lead to recognition as International
Division Winners—see chart below.
