Whether you’re flying solo or looking for a group activity, the great outdoors has something to offer everyone.

  1. Yard games. Badminton, croquet and bocce ball, oh my! Lawn activities lead you out into the fresh air and can spark some friendly competition to boot.
  2. Get to pickin’. Berry picking is a fun excursion that ends in a delicious result.
  3. Hole-in-(a small)-one. Miniature, or putt-putt, golf is a low-impact activity that lets you get in some extra steps while also spending quality time with friends and family.
  4. Find your path to fitness. They say the best type of exercise is the kind you’re likely to do. Not sure what’ll light your fitness fire? Try a new workout class with a friend or set a walking date with a TOPS pal.
  5. Plan a picnic. Pack a basket with healthy snacks and head out to the park. There, find a place under a shade tree to nosh, people watch, relax or read.
  6. Take a screen shot. With today’s phones, anyone can be a photographer. Capture the moment while taking a stroll on the beach or walking along the river.
  7. Go on a scavenger hunt. This fun outdoor activity can be done in your yard or around town. Choose your team and starting hunting for clues!
  8. Prop up the easel. Head to your favorite scenic spot and let your paintbrush play. Unleash your creativity Monet-style by setting up in the morning or before dusk.
  9. A fork in the road. Grab your walking stick and go on a hike. Trails are often modified for different mobility levels. Look for them around nature centers and in urban areas.
  10. Work on your green thumb. Gardening can be a healthy hobby as well as a great stress reliever. Bring your extra produce or flowers to chapter for a lovely reward.
