Positive thoughts and attitudes can help us overcome negative vibes. Try these suggestions to brighten up even the gloomiest day.

  2. Reach out to others. Making a human connection, either in person or by phone, can lighten your load and that of your friends and family.
  3. Say something nice to someone. Sharing a compliment is an easy, positive means of sharing support.
  4. Escape through a good book. The simple act of immersing yourself into another reality can relieve stress and encourage a fresh perspective.
  5. Smile at someone. You are likely to receive a smile in return.
  6. Have a massage. Self-care is not selfishness unless taken to the extreme. An occasional treat of having someone focus on just you can revitalize your energy levels.
