Double the Success, Double the Excitement!
(Last Updated April 5, 2021)
Why is IRD going virtual?
TOPS has transitioned IRD 2020–21 from an in-person to a virtual event for the safety of members and staff.
IRD still will take place July 23–24 with online sessions that will roughly correspond to our traditional IRD schedule.
Who may attend IRD?
As always, TOPS members, friends, family and the public may attend sessions so long as they have registered in advance of the session starting time.
Who will be honored at IRD 2020-21?
TOPS will honor all qualifying 2019 and 2020 winners:
- State and Provincial Royalty
- International Royalty
- International Division Winners
- 25- and 50-consecutive-year KOPS
- KOPS of more than 50 years
- Chapters earning the David Fox Memorial Award for the highest average weight loss per member in 2019 and 2020.
TOPS sent individual letters of congratulation from President Rick Danforth to these honorees in late March/early April with details of how they can be recognized.
How may members enter events?
Only members who register for Virtual IRD in the TOPS Store at www.tops.org will be eligible to participate (except for honorees above, who receive free registration if they accept the honor).
The Events Entry form will be emailed as part of the IRD registration confirmation email. Members will need to download, complete and send the form back via mail, email or fax by the May 15 deadline to participate. Members meeting the official eligibility requirements may be recognized as:
- KOPS graduates
- KOPS of Over 50 Years
- Century Award Winners (200-lb., 300-lb. loss)
- Before and After Parade participants (70-lb. loss) will be in
the May/June issue of TOPS News and posted on
www.tops.org, along with official eligibility requirements.
Will there be speakers?
Yes! A full lineup of speakers is scheduled. Rick Danforth, Barb Cady, Jodi Stolove and Dr. Nia Mitchell will be featured, along with a medical panel.
When will I know more?
Details about attending, including the cost, will be announced on this webpage as they become available and will be published in the May/June issue of TOPS News, which should arrive in homes in early May.
