At a time when social distancing is the new reality, it's easy to feel alone and disconnected. That’s why it’s important now more than ever to:

REACH OUT via text, phone, email, letter or social media.

STAY IN and practice some serious self-care.

FIND BALANCE between staying informed while still taking time to unplug and reset.

And TOPS is here to help with all of this. Here are 10 ways to help keep you on track with your goals and still feel connected with your chapter and TOPS community as a whole.

  1. Feel free to “meet” during your regularly-scheduled weekly meeting time by using a video chat service like Skype, FaceTime or others. You can also make use of your TOPS chapter’s individual Facebook group by sharing tips or updates throughout the next few weeks. Don’t have your own group?   2. Just because you have to stay home doesn’t mean you can’t keep moving! Check out a variety of at-home workouts available to members.
  3. If you have a scale, you can always weigh yourself at home if the scale is an important part of staying accountable to yourself.
  4. Are you nervously snacking and watching the news? Stress can oftentimes trigger old habits and emotional eating. Combat this with 3 Tips to Manage Emotional Eating.
  5. Watch one of our live or recorded webinars and talk about it as a group afterward.
  6. Put on your chef’s hat and make those recipes you never had time to before.
  7. Take time to do some early spring cleaning. Decluttering certain areas of your life (or home) can be a great stress reliever.
