Activating Your Account

Activate Your TOPS Login Account

There is no additional cost to sign up for online tools and support. It’s a membership benefit, and Sign In only takes about five minutes if you have your membership number and chapter ID handy.

Note: If you joined TOPS® online, then you created your own username and password at that time, and you do not need to activate your account.

  1. Go to and click Sign In button located in the upper right hand corner of the website.
  2. On the Sign In page, click the link free TOPS Account in the yellow box labeled “Activate Your Account”.
  3. On the New TOPS Login Account page, enter your 7-digit membership number. (see the section "How Do I Find My Membership Number?")
  4. Enter your Chapter ID in this format: WI 0123 (2-letter state/province code + 1 space + 4-digit chapter number) If your chapter number is less than four digits long, just add zeroes in front to get to four.
  5. Click the Activate Your Account button.

If you see the message, “Thanks for Activating!,” then you’re all set.

You should receive an email confirmation of your username and password if we have a valid email address on file. We recommend that you jot down your username and password and keep it in a safe place.

If you receive the message, “Your Account Login (username) and Password are already active," then just go back to the Member Sign In page and click on the “Forgot my password” link in the “Sign In” box.

After activating your account, sign in with your account:

  1. Click on Sign In at the bottom of Your TOPS Login Information page.
  2. On the Sign In page, go to the Sign In box and enter your username.
  3. Enter your password.
  4. Click on Sign In. You should now have access to all information available to signed in members.
