Choose the Weekly Meeting Format That's Right for You!

Weekly meetings are the heart of TOPS support. Choose from online or in-person.  If your needs change, you may change formats at any time-- there's no additional charge to switch. 

In-Person Chapters

  • TOPS has thousands of chapters in communities across the U.S. and Canada. Find a meeting near you or start your own.
  • Every meeting starts with a private weigh-in.  It's the gift of accountability that TOPS provides.
  • Meeting runs 30-60 minutes after weigh-in. Chapters may charge monthly dues ($5 on average in U.S. and $8 in Canada).
  • Meeting starts with members sharing challenges, successes or goals (if they want).
  • There’s a brief program. TOPS gives each chapter engaging, professionally-prepared programs covering a variety of health and wellness topics.
  • Awards and recognition are given regularly at many chapters to honor weight-loss and non-scale victories.
  • Meeting often closes with a thought for the week or inspirational activity.
  • Each chapter is a little different, reflecting the needs and preferences of its members.  Try any meeting one time for free to find the best fit for you -- or start your own chapter.  All it takes is you and three friends.
  • In many chapters, members who would like extra support choose to share contact information to keep in touch throughout the week.

Online Chapter Meetings

  • Live Zoom meetings are scheduled on five separate days and times weekly. Topic changes each Monday.
  • Recordings of the Online Meeting Program can be viewed in the Video Library.
  • Meeting runs about 30 minutes long.
  • Meeting starts with members sharing both scale and nonscale challenges, successes or goals (if they want).
  • Members discuss a TOPS Program presented by one of our Meeting Facilitators. Additional discussion may center around guest speakers who are invited from time to time to share their expert views on fitness, nutrition and more via webinar.
  • Meeting closes with action steps related to the program presented.
  • A private Facebook group for online members to share support, obstacles and ideas between meetings is also available.

Online Chapter Meeting Schedule

Online members can join Zoom Chapter meetings up to three times weekly. Members can choose whether or not to share their video.

  • Monday evenings: 8:00 p.m. Central
  • Tuesday midday: 1:00 p.m. Central
  • Wednesday morning: 11:00 a.m. Central
  • Thursday evenings: 6:30 p.m. Central
  • Saturday morning: 11:00 a.m. Central
  • All meetings are listed in Central time. Please use to check the times in your area.
  • The Program portion of recent Online Chapter meetings can be found in our Video Library for all members. For privacy, Check In and Discussion are not recorded.
