How TOPS Chooses Winners

TOPS uses different methods to determine Royalty, International Royalty and Division Winners. All weights and losses are determined by official TOPS records using a member's starting weight or highest weight at renewal, whichever is greater.

Royalty earn this honor by losing more weight than anyone else in their province or state who reached their weight-loss goal in a given year. They are considered the “king” or “queen” of that state or province. See their before and after photos on our Facebook page.
International Royalty are the four men and women (King, Queen, Runners-Up) who lost more weight than anyone else in the TOPS organization who reached their weight-loss goal in a given year.
Division Winners are recognized within divisions based on members' starting weights of each year. Winners lost the most weight within their division during the calendar year.
